Now that The Assistant Lighting Designer's Toolkit is finally published, it's beginning to pop up everywhere! It's very exciting! I feel very lucky that some good people are looking out for me. They've been sending me photos of my book on the shelf. I'm so grateful! This first one was taken by Conor Mulligan at Drama Books (officially The Drama Bookshop) during his summer stay in NYC. Drama Books has always been THE quintessential bookstore for me.... the most important bookstore in the theatrical design realm. Every time I am there I empty my pockets and empty their shelves. It is an absolutely magical place. To be on their shelves means more to me than anything! One bucket list item -- check! This second photo was taken by my dear friend, Rob Halliday, who was instrumental in making the book happen in the first place. Rob lives in the U.K. and took this picture at Foyles London, "London's finest bookstore." An international seller!!!!! I can't believe it! I feel very lucky to have this book pop up all over the place. A big thanks to my publisher, Focal Press, known for some of the best theatrical design books in the biz.
